We built this special bridge over the Papaloapan River on the La Tinaja-Cosoleacaque expressway in Veracruz for Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes, using the cable-stayed construction technique. It is 797 feet long and has a maximum span of 666 feet, with a maximum pylon height of 190 feet, three spans with two abutments and two supports (pylons).
Notably, this bridge won the Lieberman Prize in 1996, awarded to the best concrete project that year, by Camara Mexicana de la Industria de la Construccion. |
